“I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs.
2 I will be careful to live a blameless life—when will you come to help me?
I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.
3 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar.
I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.
4 I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.
5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors.
I will not endure conceit and pride.
6 I will search for faithful people to be my companions.
Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
7 I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house,
and liars will not stay in my presence.
8 My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked
and free the city of the Lord from their grip.” Psalm 101 NLT
God Our Father,
David possibly wrote this Psalm when he became King of Israel? And it reads not like a political manifesto but like his promise of practical godly living. And if he lived a practical godly life then his reign and politics would be good for everyone too?
It reads just as well for us as the guide to practical Christianity for us. Though we do not look for those who would serve us as we look to be Your servants. And we would want to deal in our every day living with those who are above reproach and not those who deal underhandedly.
And we could do with adding the first verse to the end for repetition to remind us. Because we cannot do these things all the time. We do see the vile on tv before we turn over. We do hear people talk about their neighbours (and may have done so ourselves) about hedges or noise or some thing . . .
So I will sing a song of Your love and justice Lord as I accept the gift of grace from Your Son Jesus. Undeserved, it also strips away any lingering conceit and pride and restores me to blameless. Hallelujah.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

I just love this song it enables me to sing of his love and justice, and reaffirm my commitment.
Wonderful grace that gives what I don’t deserve,
pays me what Christ has earned then lets me go free.
Wonderful grace that gives me the time to change,
washes away the stains that once covered me.
And all that I have I lay at the feet
of the wonderful Saviour who loves me.
Wonderful love that held in the face of death,
breathed in its final breath forgiveness for me.
Wonderful love whose power can break every chain
giving us life again setting us free.
And all that I have I lay at the feet
of the wonderful Saviour who loves me.
