Lord of blessing,
This reading is like taking a pause. It speaks on its own. I cannot think of a better succinct prayer. Well how could I? It comes straight from You. It put Your name on the children of Israel for a blessing. There are many times we are not sure what to pray for someone does not want disclose what they need prayer for. And that is OK. But it is hard.
Here is a prayer that still today is good for every occasion. Because it puts You first, You central, You for the future and holds nothing but blessings. Sometimes we hear it at the end of services . But it a benediction. Perhaps we take it for granted. But when we consider the words, the picture language the power and the determination in it. It is way to bless beyond what we think is needed. And I would want to pray it for myself. Lord bless me . . .
