“And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab. 12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. 13 For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.” 14 So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel. 15 And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord. 16 Then David spoke to the leaders of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers accompanied by instruments of music, stringed instruments, harps, and cymbals, by raising the voice with resounding joy. ”

Our Father,
Here is David getting it right the second time. You are the God who gives us opportunity to get it right when we have made a mistake and come back to You. The writer of Chronicles give us all the details of that second time and doing it right. And on the Arks return there was much singing, many musical instruments and voices raised in joy! And David prepares a place for the Ark. A tent later to become a Temple. Pointing to when this earthly tent of ours would become His holy temple perhaps (1 Corinthians 6:19).
It is Easter Sunday and we too are rejoicing that You gave mankind a second chance to be holy. We could not be good by ourselves, so You came into the midst of us and offered Your holiness through Jesus. Today we lift our voices with great joy to celebrate Your coming out of the tomb to give us life and hope and love. What an amazing miracle and privilege to become Your Holy Temple.
