So Hathak went out to Mordecai in the open square of the city in front of the king’s gate. 7 Mordecai told him everything that had happened to him, including the exact amount of money Haman had promised to pay into the royal treasury for the destruction of the Jews. He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people. 9 Hathak went back and reported to Esther what Mordecai had said. 10 Then she instructed him to say to Mordecai, 11 “All the king’s officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that they be put to death unless the king extends the gold scepter to them and spares their lives. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king.” 12 When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, 13 he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”” Esther 4:6-14

Our Father and King of Kings,

What a difference between Vashti the first queen and Esther. One refusing to go to the King and one afraid to go. Both were kept from the kings presence but for different reasons. Today we do not have to hope that You our King will extent the gold sceptre towards us depending whether |You are in a good mood or not! Jesus stands as our eternal and ever open door to Your throne. Ensuring we always have Your attention and love and holiness. Help us not to hold any stubbornness in our hearts and also no fear. You know the best answers to our requests.

We too have been born for such a time as this. To do Your will, whatever it is. In royal circles or humble abodes. And if we stay silent who knows what may happen. I heard an evangelist say that I may never lead thousands to Christ – but no one hardly remembers who led Billy Graham to meet Jesus! With You, God it is not about numbers it is about individuals. You cared about Esther as well as the many Jesus. Thank You that we can instantly be in Your presence and ask for nations – and for individuals by name.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen

THis says it all. It is challenging . . . and melodic and beautifully scripture

Now, all I have is now
To be faithful, to be holy
And to shine lighting up the darkness
Right now, I really have no choice
But to voice the truth to the nations
A generation looking for God

For such a time as this
I was placed upon the earth
To hear the voice of God
And do His will, whatever it is
For such a time as this
For now and all the days He gives
I am here, I am here, and I am His
For such a time as this

You, do you ever wonder why
Seems like the grass is always greener
Under everybody else’s sky
But right here, right here for this time and place
You can live a mirror of His mercy
A forgiven image of grace

For such a time as this
I was placed upon the earth
To hear the voice of God
And do His will, whatever it is
For such a time as this
For now and all the days He gives
I am here, I am here, and I am His
For such a time as this

Can’t change what’s happened till now
But we can change what will be
By living in holiness
That the world will see Jesus

Chorus
Repeat
