“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1 New King James Version
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1 New Living Translation
Lord of every day,
Tuesdays. A day not at the beginning of the week, not in the middle and seems a long way away from the week end. Some times it just feels like another busy to get what needs to be done at work, got through if we have chores, or tolerate if we are on our own, are not well or facing the dentist. Today, as once again I am isolated by another dose of Covid I look forward to just going out to the corner shop one day!
But for all of us, especially me, I need to take a deep breathe and pass over all my niggles and cares to You, so I can step into Your presence, complaining and uncluttered in my head. As the Psalmist paints the picture with words – to feel even on a Tuesday, I can come apart from the world to a sheltered place in Your throne room. In the shadow of You, Almighty God. Sheltered where nothing can touch and there is rest and restoration for our souls. We cannot rest when our mind is running through what we need to do, what we haven’t done, what we can’t do yet. We are distracted.
Today, help us to pause, find that secret place with You where we can be still, rest in Your shadow. Not a dark place but away from anything that would seek to harm us. So we can hear Your love song, and be comforted. And we can worship.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

For our Ministers, lay leaders, church members. Refreshment and encouragement.
For the Royal family. Their daily needs and time to be family.
For our nation and the members yet to be elected to Parliament. For You amidst the choosing.
For preparations for the Olympics in Paris and all those competing, and good health.
For Gaza, and the Middle East. Lasting solutions for peace for the good of all.
For Ukraine, those living there or abroad. A mighty move of Your Spirit to end war, soon.
For all those around the world doing good for God.
For those giving so others can do good.
For those who need comfort today in sickness, bereavement or sadness.
For the good Samaritans of today. For those who volunteer on the help lines..
For our needs to be met today, our rest to be good today and our joy to be restored.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Worship Tuesday 25th June 2024
As the deer pants for the water
So my soul longs after You
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship You
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship You
You’re my friend
And You are my brother
Even though You are a King
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything
As the deer pants for the water
So my soul longs after You
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship You
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship You
Followed by prayer by Robin Mark.
