“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful;” Psalm 1:1 NKJV

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150:6 NKJV

Father God,

Tuesday. Monday is done and the rest of the week is to come. A day to pause and not worry about what is to come? (Matthew 6:34). The rest of the week week will come in its own time. Even if we have much to do, we take five, and breathe You in deeply in the moments between. We can look to those who will encourage us and not those who will gossip or spread scorn..

Interesting, it does not say we should not walk with sinners but says we should not take their counsel. If we did not walk with sinners – build relationships with them – we would not be like Christ! We can then understand what it is like to walk in their shoes and witness our faith and show Your Love through us. The Psalmist wisely says their counsel is harmful because they do not involve You in their wisdom. The path of sinners is going the wrong way . . . and if we listen to a scornful person too much it may be catching . . . keep us respectful Father.

And the end of the book of Psalms sums up what we should do. Praise the Lord. What ever the situation we can praise You, Lord. For You surely are our help, our stay, our hope and our way. Help us to praise the day away, keep the narrow road, and share You with those we meet along the way.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Suggestions for prayer . . .
Father God,

For our close family.
For our extended family, friends, neighbours.
For our church fellowship and ministers and fellow Christian churches in the area..
For our king and all those in authority (1 Timothy 2:2). World Kings, dictators and rulers.
For those who are able to speak peace and righteousness into difficult situations.
For Ukraine. The Christians and their fellowships. An end to war.
For Gaza, all the Middle East. Solutions for peace.
For Myanmar church. Afghanistan, China. Other areas where church is persecuted.
For those countries in flood or drought or damaged by storms.
For Your gentle uplifting for those bowed down with worry or anxiety,
For us to be prompted to praise and help others to see the best in the day.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Let everything that, everything that
Ev’rything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that, everything that
Ev’rything that has breath praise the Lord

Praise You in the morning, praise You in the evening
Praise You when I’m young and when I’m old
Praise You when I’m laughing, praise You with I’m grieving
Praise You every season of the soul

If we could see how much You’re worth
Your power, Your might, Your endless love
Then surely we would never cease to praise

Praise You in the heavens, joining with the angels
Praising You forever and a day
Praise You on the earth now, joining with creation
Calling all the nations to Your praise

If we could see how much You’re worth
Your power, Your might, Your endless love
Then surely we would never cease to praise

Let everything that, everything that
Everything that has breath praise the Lord
Let everything that, everything that
Everything that has breath praise the Lord
